Originally made for a USAF Aeromedical Evacuation unit. So popular it ended up on GSA Schedule.
The fanny pack was used to carry a wide assortment of first responder medical supplies and instruments. The medical unit "preloaded" these fanny packs into different packages for different components of their mission. Once loaded and stored, they provided a quick and easy way to issue exactly what was needed immediately. A very effective yet inexpensive way to provide the first responder with the critical items needed at the critical time in a simple way to carry or transport. Works well on evacuation aircraft, ambulances or vehicles.
However, this fanny pack is a great individual item and its use is only limited by the imagination. It can be used to carry a wide assortment of personal gear or supplies.
The main pocket is contoured to fit the body for a comfortable fit. All internal seams are reinforced with binding tape for extra durability. Inside the main pocket is a small pocket with hook/loop closure for storage. Two zippered end pockets provide additional separate storage for smaller items. A 1" plastic d-ring is attached to the side pocket to hang items such as gloves, rolls of medical tape, chemical lights, etc. Two 1" "four way" plastic tabs are sewn to top flap for extra straps.
