The belt has excellent stiching and attention to detail. The double layer with the plastic stiffener make it excellent for CCW with a heavier firearm. The female buckle easily slides thru loops on jeans. This belt is stiff enough to easily carry the weight of a heavier pistol, but not so stiff that it is uncomfortable or fits like a hula hoop. I would highly recommend this belt to everyone who CCW's daily.
I have every name brand to no name brand belt you can buy. SOE, daltech, kore, 5.11, Blue alpha gear, the list goes on. This is the best EDC belt I have, for so many reasons; comfort, support, and I love cobra buckles. No other buckle has satisfied me the same way. This belt in particular is my favorites though. Comfort, ease or adjustment, support, versatility, ease to take a sh*t without compromise. This belt supports all my loads and lets me drop em… it’s by far the best belt I own. Even compared to ones that look the exact same. I also love all my AWS belts in general. I switched all my gear, professional and edc belts, to them after a decade of running SOE. I love AWS and applied gear!
I bought the Relyant (T-Rex Arms) belt before this but realized how much I missed being able to put on and remove my belt without un-velcroing it. The female buckle on this fits through standard loops (just barely, the side release has to be depressed to get through). The belt seems very well made. I wish they'd publish actual waist size instead of a measurement that goes off of your pant size (this isn't AWS' fault, as that's how Applied Gear does their measurements). For reference, I wear size 34 pant in ALL brands, but I have a 37.5" measured waist. I initially ordered a medium based on the size chart which is in pant sizes. I had to exchange it for a large because the velcro adjustment was at the end of the adjustment letting it out (without carrying). With the large I'm maxed out to the smallest end of the adjustment when not carrying, but that's perfect once you account for carrying. I want to say that AWS has the best exchange process I've ever engaged in, and they were quick and polite in getting switched over to a large. Overall, I'd say that you should size up if you're near the upper end of a measurement if you go off of AWS/applied gear's chart
This is probably the best belt I have ever purchased! Both well made and effective.
